Your data on Shiplog

Shiplog stores your sign-in provider identifier, name and email, along with the products you manage, follows, preferences and contributions you choose to submit.

Public and private information

Published product pages, updates, requests, roadmap entries and reviews are public. Your name accompanies your contributions. Draft products and their uploaded media are restricted to their maker. Makers can see the names of their followers and responses to their calls for help. Your email address is not displayed on public product pages.

Email choices

Product emails, weekly discoveries, deal emails and request notifications have separate controls. Change your choices in Preferences or use the unsubscribe link in a message. We retain delivery and suppression records to operate email and respect opt-outs. Messages already delivered cannot be recalled.

Sign-in, storage and embedded videos

Google or GitHub handles sign-in. Shiplog uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. Uploaded images are re-encoded with metadata removed. YouTube videos load when you choose to play them, at which point your browser connects to YouTube. Email delivery uses Resend when external delivery is enabled.

Your controls

You can export your account data from Preferences, delete your reviews, withdraw testimonial permission, unfollow products and turn off emails. Makers can unpublish their products and end offers. For account deletion or questions about retained data, submit a support request. A deletion request requires processing; submission alone does not erase data or backups.
